I have found that converting WAV/MP3 to MIDI is futile, at best. Allowing a song to be saved with a style makes it possible for you to have the STS sounds you like for that song. I usually use a commercial MIDI if I want to add a new Style to my PA. I must add that I have not tried these myself, they are just some I found via a quick search. There are also online convertors such as Bear that may do what you seek.

There is software such as Melodyne that does a good job but is pretty expensive but maybe the trial version will be enough for a one off project to see if it works for you. It seems you have to be in Style mode for most harmonies to work and while in that mode you can't play either of the songs associated with the style you're in.
